Explore the Dales
Easy access to Wharfedale, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Bishopdale, Littondale and many more. With so many walks, sights and attractions in the Dales, simply tell us what you are interested in and we can advise you on things to see and do to make your stay at Nethergill extra special. Link to Dales Discoveries and Yorkshire Dales National Park for lots of ideas.
We can organise pony trekking from Kilnsey, across the hills to take in the breathtaking scenery, before coming back to all the home comforts at Nethergill.
Dry stone walling
Recapture the simplicity of life, working outdoors amid the stunning Dales scenery with the sound of Curlews overhead. Expert tuition is provided by local wallers - makes for a very therapeutic activity.
Pass happy tranquil hours amid glorious Dales scenery fishing for wild brown trout in the challenging head waters of the Oughtershaw Beck, which meanders all along the front of the farmhouse. More fishing can be arranged further down the Wharfe as well, so please ring for details. To protect the local ecosystem and ensure fishing can be enjoyed by everyone, all fish must be caught using a barbless hook and returned to the Beck as quickly as possible.
