Hay meadow restoration in progress
Following the hay safely gathered and stored in the old traditional barn we are now involved with further improving our traditional hay meadows. As part of the Yorkshire Dales Hay Time Project we have been spreading seed from local 'donor' meadows across our meadows here. The 'donor' meadow seed is more species rich than our own and the spreading of this new seed will help to further enhance the bidiversity of Nethergill meadows next Spring.
