During your stay at Nethergill Farm B and B, 4 star Silver - comfort and luxury accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales , the following are just a few of the activities available:

Walking Activities at Nethergill Farm  - Nethergill Grid Reference: SD862822

Situated on the Dales Way, Nethergill provides the ideal stop, The Dales Way, a 74 mile path from Ilkley to Windermere passes through some spectacular scenery.  Why not stay for 2 nights at Nethergill whilst doing the Dales Way to soak in more of the Dales scenery and enjoy some real home comforts.

We can suggest many picturesque walks in and around Wharfefdale, Langstrothdale, Wensleydale and Swaledale all taking in breathtaking views.

There are circular walks starting directly from Nethergill, we can point you in the right direction.

Guided farm walks

We can take you on a guided walk around the farm including Ellbeck Wood, (18,500 trees, set in 30 acres of moorland - planted in Spring 2008) showing the increase in biodiversity that has happened already.  Learn how we are trying to manage the farm to provide food and enhance the environment at the same time. The walks can  last either 1 hour or 2 hours (approximately), with refreshments, taking in stunning scenery, wildlife and that 'get away from it all feeling'.  Wellingtons are essential, we can often supply most sizes.  Prices available on request.

    Farm Fun

Come and feed the chickens and collect the eggs for breakfast (all ages welcome!).      Also, feed the sheep and watch lambing in April and May time.

Feed and learn about the rare breed White Shorthorns (coming August 2009) -

Bracken

Bracken is the latest addition to Nethergill Farm.  A traditional Dales pony highly trained to perform all types of farm work such as harrowing and rolling the fields, pulling trailors as well as 'snigging'.  'Snigging' is pulling felled trees out of woodland.  Guests are welcome to meet Bracken.
