Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales Guest accommodation includes 1 twin and 1 double bedroom and a third occasional twin room. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms set amid wonderful dales landscape.
Wildlife Enhancement - Ellbeck Wood planting...
To further enhance the wildlife across the farm and to encourage the Red Squirrels, an area of 30 acres of moorland has been planted with mixed species woodland totalling 17,500 trees in conjunction with the National Parks and Forestry Commission. Planting was completed in February 2008. For more information see 'latest news' . Livestock
Visitors are welcome to learn more about the livestock at Nethergill Farm - currently Dalesbred and Swaledale ewes, a Hampshire ram ('Devon') and a Dalesbred ram ('Del boy') and lots of very free range chickens New to Nethergill this year a pure native Dalesbred pony ('Bracken') bought to haul timber from the plantation above the farm. Also 4 purebred rare breed White Shorthorn cattle (2 heifers and 1 cow with calf at foot ('Brian'). A very recent addition to the farm is the year old trainee Collie (Kim) and arriving on 22nd December 2009 an 8 week old Jack Russell puppy ('Millie') . - read more
Nethergill Farm Foods
Succulent traditional lamb and beef from the hills in Wharfedale. All cuts individually packaged and labelled and posted overnight in eco friendly Woolcool packaging. Please ring for more details.
Future Plans
Alternative energy generation by micro-hydro power to generate electricity for the farm and house, rotational coppicing, renovation of the traditional meadows and more tree planting across the farm. Nethergill Farm is managed in close communication with environmental experts to provide farm productivity alongside ideal envionmental conditions for wildife.
Fiona is a keen painter and inspired by the unique atmosphere of the Dales produces unusual work in mixed media including paper and wool. Winner of the Pro-Arte competition run by Craven District she is enjoying producing commissions for both locals and visitors to the Dales.
