Bed and Breakfast at Nethergill Farm - 4 star silver accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales
A large Victorian farmhouse where visitors can enjoy complete peace and privacy with own separate staircase, large sitting room and dining room area with log burning stove. Home-baked bread, home-cured bacon and the freshest possible eggs from our own very free ranging hens.
Come and walk, sketch, paint, bird watch, feed the chickens, sheep and cattle. Have a guided walk round the farm, explore the wonderful sights and attractions nearby or simply relax amidst the stunning scenery of Upper Wharfedale.
Accommodation - 3 bedrooms available
Twin room (Chauldron)
- spacious with en suite bathroom including bath and shower, overlooking the traditional cobbled court yard with distant views over the traditional hay meadow and up the hills. Simple and calming decor with TV and tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room.
Double room (Hazelbank)
- with double aspect overlooking Oughtershaw Moss, the Beck and down through the dale, tea and coffee making facilities, simple and comfortable with en suite bathroom, including bath and shower. Simple and calming decor with TV. We are lucky enough to have House Martins nesting at the windows in the Summer.

Breakfast...
Enjoy home baked bread (made the old fashioned way), home cured bacon, freshly laid eggs from Nethergill very free-ranging chickens homemade lemon curd and a selection of locally sourced foods, (organic where possible). Vegetarian options and gluten free diets also on the menu.
Nethergill Farm is a Deliciouslyorkshire Breakfast Member and has just won the Delicouslyorkshire Breakfast Award 2009/10. Deliciouslyorkshire celebrates food and drink in the Yorkshire region. Established to enable consumers to enjoy local sourcing, freshness, tracability and seasonal produce from the Yorkshire and Humber region. As a breakfast member we source many more than 5 ingredients locally.
Supper...
Enjoy a rustic 2 course farmhouse supper such as Beef in Black Sheep Ale and apple crumble in relaxed homely atmosphere at Nethergill (excluding Sundays). Vegetarian and gluten free dishes also available. Or, evening meals can be found at some great local pubs and restaurants in the area. We will be happy to take you and bring you back, within a 18 mile round trip from Nethergill. For visitors staying for more than one night we can supply evening meal for the first night and then advise on the best local pubs or restaurants, booking in advance for you, where necessary. We are very concious of 'food miles' and endeavour to source most of our fresh foods from either the farm, local farms or Hawes - our nearest rural market town.
Pack Lunch...
For a worry free onward journey or for days out from the farm enjoy a pack lunch made with home-baked bread and flapjack.
Relaxation
Guests have the use of a large sitting room area
with a log burning stove and huge comfy sofa as well as a pretty
walled front garden with magnificent wide ranging views across the Beck
and up the hills.
Afternoon tea with homemade flapjack on arrival to revive you.
All
ages welcome to feed the chickens and collect the eggs for breakfast as
well as feed the sheep and cattle and see the lambing in April and May.
We have a small library area where you can sit and browse our wide selection of books.

If you feel the need to stay in touch we can offer you a wi-fi connection... although it is not very fast as yet.

We now offer discounts for stays of more than 1 night.
We request a deposit of £20 per room per night prior to your visit.

WILD CAMPING
Limited camping is available and a tented compost loo can be supplied with notice. We ask for a donation of £5 per tent towards the management of Ellbeck Wood in return.
